Ascribe to the Lord, O families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

PRAYER OF PRAISE:
O Lord Jesus, we worship you. You are the Way Maker, the Miracle Workers, Promise Keeper, Light in the Darkness. Our God. That is who you are. Even when we don’t see it or feel it, you are still working. We trust you today that you are working. Even in these changing times, even with all of the closings and cancellations, even with all the social distancing, we believe that you are working. We believe that you will bring restoration and healing. We believe that you make all things new.
Come, Holy Spirit, and fill our hearts and minds with the peace and power of the Living God. Holy Spirit, fill this time with your presence.
Dear Father, may your love wash over us and push away all fear, anxiety and uncertainty. We pray this through Jesus our Lord. Amen.

BIBLE READING: Psalm 46:1–11 (NIV)
1God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
4There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8Come and see the works of the Lord, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.
10“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
BIBLE READING: Romans 8:18-27 (NIV)
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.
23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?
25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
