Come, join us on the Journey!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits—

who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

(Psalm 103:1-5)

November 20, 2020

November is a season of thanksgiving. Our gratitude to God is not based on circumstances but on the character and actions of our Lord. The Lord forgives, heals, redeems, crowns, and satisfies us! Wow! That is incredible! We give thanks to the Lord for he is indeed good and his steadfast love endures forever.

In the past few weeks, there has been a significant increase in Coronavirus cases and hospitalizations in Grand Rapids and across our county and state. Hospitals are at maximum capacity and making tough decisions about who to admit. The Health Department and hospitals are asking people to reduce the spread of the coronavirus by limiting in-person gatherings. The Kent County COVID-19 Church Task Force has been working closely with local hospitals and the health department, and in an effort to support our local health care professionals they are asking churches to suspend in-person gatherings. Many churches in Kent County have agreed to do this. Our churches’ leadership have prayerfully discussed this opportunity and decided to support the effort to reduce the spread of the coronavirus by suspending our in-person worship service and offering on-line worship. Check out the WOODTV article about this.
